FlexiSpot E7 Review
The FlexiSpot E7 is the desk that most “best standing desk” lists agree on. But does it actually live up to the hype?

What We Like
Stability
At full height (125cm), the E7 is genuinely rock solid. No wobble, even with two monitors and a full PC setup. This is the critical test for any standing desk, and the E7 passes comfortably.
Motor smoothness
The dual motors deliver smooth, quiet height transitions. At normal speed it’s about 38mm/s — not the fastest, but you won’t notice. The anti-collision detection is a nice safety feature.
Weight capacity
125kg is class-leading. Most competitors sit at 70-80kg. If you have heavy equipment or dual monitors with a PC tower on the desk, the E7 handles it without straining.
Memory presets
Four programmable heights means you can set it for sitting, standing, and two custom positions. Useful if multiple people share the desk.
What We Don’t Like
Assembly
The E7 comes in two boxes and assembly takes 45-60 minutes. The instructions are functional but basic. A second pair of hands helps.
Controller
TheLED display and touch controls work fine, but the interface is dated. It’s not a dealbreaker, but competitors like Uplift have nicer controllers.
Price creep
The base price is ~£500, but the desktop (if buying separately) adds another £150-200. The all-in price can creep past £700 with accessories.
Who It’s For
The FlexiSpot E7 is the desk to buy if you want the best combination of stability, features, and build quality at around the £500 mark. It’s not the cheapest, but it is genuinely the best in its class.
If your budget is under £350, look at the FLEXIMATES instead — it’s 80% as good for significantly less.

Buy it if: You want the best standing desk under £600. Skip it if: You’re on a tight budget — the FLEXIMATES is better value.
